Yea Little Rock PTQ today was crap. I played the boat brew and went X-1 until round 5 picked up my second loss and ended 5-2. The venue was terrible as was the prize support, but thats come to be expected from bluegrass. 125~ people and you can't pay more than a box outside top 8?

The venue was hot cramped and had next to no parking, but it wasn't the fault of the store as people were constantly running in and out fanning the 97+ degree weather outside back inside the store.

Thought you would like to see it.

For anyone who has not seen it yet, here is the video interview of BDM and Bobby going over Sunburst Gifts.

TO action dates back long before the resurrection of States, however. Pete Hoefling and StarCity Games took action last year, and created big non-Wizards events, with the various SCG $5ks. These were, in effect, private Grand Prix, and they have been very popular. Other TOs may have had similar events, but the $5ks were the first independent events I have seen to create a nationwide draw.

I at least got on the forums and pointed out we have been doing it for years now :/

Moody, do you know what this means yet? Are you still going to be able to host a large event, or will we be muscled out of the big one now?

This by the way was from the prerelease survey WOTC did.

As much as we still want to make the Prerelease broadly accessible, bringing back larger tournaments is key to a number of you. For Conflux, in addition to the local Prereleases, we have decided to organize larger events in about 40 cities across the world. These events will be run by Wizards of the Coast, and will be hosted in cities such as Tokyo, Osaka, London, New York City, Chicago, Boston, Orlando, Los Angeles, Dallas, Mexico City, São Paulo, Montreal, Toronto, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Hong Kong or Taipei.

At prizes may or may not suck!

And drafts are back!
