BluegrassMagic History
In 2002 Brennan Moody suggested that an event should be run that gives back to the players all the cash they had put into the game and the Kentucky Open was born. Starting off as a meager $1000 cash event grew to the first ever $5000 event. These events would later be adopted by others and evolved to the cash events that are run at the present.
In 2010, Brennan and his wife Marty opened BluegrassMagic Gameshop so everyone would have a safe, comfortable place for gamers of all types to meet up. BluegrassMagic has even had two gamer weddings in the shop.
We invite everyone to come meet the "Old Man" "Kentucky's Godfather of Magic" drop in and say hi sometime. :-)
BluegrassMagic Gameshop has 5000 sq ft of carpeted play space, with seating for 144 players expandable to over 200. We have a spacious lounge area with two side by side 50 inch TVS , two couches and cozy chairs for parents hanging out while their kids play. We have a board game library of over 500 games with access every 2nd and 4th Saturday during the Louisville Card Board Gamers meet-ups. We also offer a large variety of snacks and drinks for our customers. BluegrassMagic is Louisville's go to shop for board games.
